Our future events, indeed all of our activities, are limited by the support we are able to gather from members and other sources. Of course, we work closely with management of Donnelly River Village and they have been kind enough to support our work through storage of some of our materials and provision of a space for a Museum in the old Primary School building. Our membership form for new or renewal is found under the header Membership.
We are keen to welcome new members and need a wide range of skills, not limited to: Carpentry, metal work, electrical work, welding, plumbing, cleaning, website, administration, trail development (mapping), experience with grant applications, historical research, interviews, publicity, media, cataloguing our museum collections and photographs…. Just joining our group through a formal membership gives us extra moral and financial support for our projects and in our application for Grant Funding.

In collaboration with Donnelly Village, the Friends of Donnelly Village have established a small museum in the old Primary School building. The museum is already operating, but is in its infancy. Guests and visitors to the village can request access to the museum at the Donnelly Village General Store (Daily 9 am to 4pm). We welcome gifts to the museum that are related to the Donnelly Village, the Donnelly Mill or the surrounding forest heritage. Gifts can be physical objects, stories or photographs. We will not usually accept items on loan. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you have items to gift or other questions about the Friends of Donnelly Village.
Currently Unscheduled – The Friends of Donnelly Village are keen to help establish some walking and cycling trails around the village. Our early thinking is to develop a wide range of trails for walking and / or mountain bikes of different lengths and grades that offer an outdoor experience catered to varied fitness levels and capabilities, but also offer an insight into the heritage of the area. Please contact email@example.com if you love walking or cycling and are passionate about this potential project. We will also need people with grant applications skills, mapping skills, project management skills, liaison skills….. you get the idea!
